Heritage Projects
I'm an experienced heritage professional specialising in collections research and public engagement, with a focus on diverse histories. Below are some of the projects I've recently worked on.
Political Pioneers: The first 20 women in Cabinet
I curated a display on The National Archives replica Cabinet table on ‘Political pioneers: The first 20 women in Cabinet’. It began with Margaret Bondfield, the first woman appointed to the Cabinet in 1929, and ended with Patricia Hewitt in 2001. Find out more in my blog post and online video.

1920sPeople
I worked on The National Archives’ 20sPeople programme which marked the release of the 1921 Census for England and Wales, exploring the people of the 1920s and connecting them with us, 2020s people. This involved curating document displays, presenting online videos on social media, writing online content, co-organising events, and supporting local history initiatives.

✸ 1918 the Parliament (Qualification of Women) Act
✸ The world’s first piece of disability legislation
✸ The 43: the most notorious club of the 1920s
✸ Trailblazing Women of the 20s: 10 women who made history
✸ What was your street like in the 1920s?
Windrush 75
To mark 75 years since the Empire Windrush docked at Tilbury, I worked on The National Archives’ Windrush 75 programme which explored post-war Caribbean migration to Britain. This included co-organising events, curating document displays, delivering public talks, writing online content, supporting digital humanities projects, and collaborating on educational resources.
Royalty on Record
I researched and led the content creation for The National Archives’ Royalty on Record programme, which celebrated Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee.
